The talk interweaves autosociobiographical and philosophical approaches to examine modes of perceiving money in a state of scarcity, and then to raise, on that basis, the classism-critical question of the economic situatedness of philosophical thought.
Dr. Melanie Reichert is a research associate specializing in the philosophy of culture, aesthetics, and philosophy of science at the University of Kiel. She is currently working on the aesthetics and epistemology of economic scarcity, for which she most recently spent several months at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. She frequently works in an essayistic format, and her work is further distinguished by a wide range of collaborations in the context of the arts.
