Critical Theory Research Group

The Critical Theory Research Group (Forschungskolleg für kritische Theorie, FkT) is an annual meeting of early career scholars working in the field of critical theory. The Research Group provides an opportunity for the presentation and discussion of ongoing or planned doctoral dissertations and “habilitation” projects as a means of engaging research perspectives within the field of critical theory: the further development of critical theory is discussed along with the projects presented. The founding Critical Theory Research Group (FkT) event took place in Lüneburg in 2013 and was organised by Sven Kramer; however, the FkT is not tied to a fixed location. It is a trans-regional project and seeks to rotate venues and organisers.

The next FkT meeting will take place at the Freie Universität Berlin in early 2023.
