LOST program for the summer term 2026

15. Mar - 30. Sep

Here are the dates for our LOST program during the summer term 2026, organized by Iris Seidemann and Boukje Cnossen.

LOST Theme Summer Term 2026

Being Affected

Proximity, Discomfort, and the Practice of Research

In this summer semester of LOST, we foreground affect, discomfort, and resistance as central dimensions of organizational research. Many of the phenomena we study are socially relevant, urgent, and emotionally demanding, bringing research objects uncomfortably close to our own lives and commitments. Rather than treating these affective experiences as mere side effects, the semester creates space to reflect on how proximity, resistance, and discomfort actively shape research relations, methodological choices, and the practice of research itself.
