"Organizing in Times of Crisis" Doctoral Research Group
Embedded in the general framework for doctoral education offered at the Leuphana Center for Organization and Social Transformation (LOST), a group of doctoral students focus specifically on researching different approaches to “Organizing in Times of Crisis” in a Doctoral Research Group of the same name.
We have developed a specific study program within the broader Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation (EMI) research colloquium that qualifies these students in an ideal way to complete their thesis at the interface of crisis management research and organization theory.
The following module overview is a recommendation of how the doctoral program can be studied in the course of 3 years to provide students with theoretical, methodological and ethical foundations for researching organizing in times of crisis at the interface of different disciplines and in different empirical contexts.
We recommend that all students take at least two of the "Research Perspectives" courses and at least one of the "Qualitative Research" courses in the course of the first study year. Completing the majority of courses in the first study year is a faculty-wide requirement.
Additionally, students can participate in various other activities of the LOST Center and the Leuphana Graduate School.
