Fellow Programme
At the Daniel Libeskind Central Building of Leuphana University, fellows pursue projects in outstanding humanities and social science research. In this environment, the LIAS is committed to Leuphana's guiding principles of academic freedom, sustainability, and the promotion of diversity. The LIAS stimulates scientific dialog among the fellows and within Leuphana University through regular events such as colloquia, coffee talks, and LIAS lectures.
The LIAS supports fellows' initiatives such as workshops and conferences, publications, and research partnerships, as well as artistic projects.
Together with the fellows, the LIAS also creates opportunities for co-creative projects in experimental formats such as Eye-To-Eye and Unfinished, which provide open spaces of reflection and collaboration, open dialogue, and professional encounters with academic and non-academic counterparts. The LIAS contributes to the cultural life of Lüneburg with regular movie screenings and various artistic events in partnership with the Kunstraum. The LIAS public fellow supports the dissemination of LIAS research questions and results to a wider public.
The LIAS is a place for people from different walks of life. Children and partners are warmly welcome at LIAS to participate in cultural activities and joint excursions. In the series What's cooking? fellows can freely exchange their thoughts and ideas in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
