In the years that followed the technical increase in the means of killing in the Second World War, technology was relocated between the nuclear potential of destruction and the prosperity production of the large machinery of industry. The two-facedness of the technology was addressed from a wide variety of perspectives. Among other things, in Herbert Marcuse's One Dimensional Man, in the studies on automation at the Frankfurt Institute for Social Research and in Paris by Gilbert Simondon. Is there a salvation of technical capacity beyond mere instrumental reason, and can this be understood as aesthetic opposition? The lecture tries to approach this question.
