Co-creative methods in sustainability research (Seminar)

Dozent/in: Viola Hakkarainen

Termin:
wöchentlich | Dienstag | 16:15 - 17:45 | 14.10.2024 - 31.01.2025 | C 12.001 Seminarraum

Inhalt: “Learning to listen to one another, learning to riff off the ideas, learning when to speak, when to make space, learning to find the music through an emergent priority, and letting ourselves be transformed and defined by the process itself is the challenge—letting go of the ‘what’ to implement and exploring ‘how’ to co-create pathways to the goals through this moment of transformation.” (Veland et al 2021, p 12) What is the role of (co-)creativity in sustainability transformations? What kinds of research can be conducted using creative methods? The imperative of sustainability research is shifting from simply (co-)creating knowledge to fostering relationships that enable transformations at various scales. This seminar series invites participants to explore, test, and critically reflect on a range of arts-based, creative, and embodied methods that are gaining traction in sustainability research. A sense of creativity is not required for participation; however, please approach the sessions with an open, yet critical, mindset.
