Inhalt: Sustainability science and environmental studies are rooted in a wide array of scientific fields, and hence also make us of diverse methodological approaches. This lecture aims at providing an overview of the different methodological approaches, discussing for example quantitative and qualitative methods, thereby building on the diversity of available approaches. These different examples are embedded into a wider systematic overview, giving students an initial understanding on how methods are an important cornerstone of sustainability science and environmental studies.
