This course will focus on the driving forces behind developmental change and, more specifically, language development. Why do children develop in the way they do? Which experiences foster or hinder development? We will put a special focus on the development of social cognition and communication (language). These abilities are fundamental to becoming a healthy and functioning member of society and form the basis for institutionalized learning.
