Dancing unites: We're looking for you!

As part of the "Lüneburger Wochen gegen Rassismus" ("Lüneburg Weeks against Racism") this year, we are once again offering a dance workshop. With our "Tanzen vereint" ("dancing unites") workshop, we want to explore unique styles and the unifying character of dance.
Scheduled for the 20th of March at 4:30 p.m., we are looking for people who would like to present a dance style from a culture they feel connected to, or which they have special background knowledge in and an authentic understanding of. Dancing is a sport and art form that permeates cultures in many different ways and gives them expression. Presenting a style includes an explanation of the cultural background surrounding that dance and showing some basic steps so that we can dance together.
No previous professional experience is necessary! If you would like to present a dance style, please register at hss-events@leuphana.de by the 4th of March. We look forward to dancing together with you and expanding our knowledge of the roots and origins of different styles!
