2023-10-13 Prof. Velte is pleased about the completed doctorate of Dr. Johannes Thesing
Dr. Thesing successfully completed his cumulative dissertation on "Fair Value Accounting, Corporate Governance, and Accounting-Based Earnings Quality: A Cross-Industry Literature Review and Empirical Evidence from Real Estate Firms" on 13 October 2023. In his three technical papers, Dr Thesing deals with the influence of fair value measurement on earnings quality, taking into account moderating effects of corporate governance.
Dr Thesing was financially supported as a doctoral student from 2018 - 2022 by the Hamburg-based auditing and consulting firm Doctores Völschau.
