Examinations in presence

University operations in the winter semester 2022/2023 will basically be conducted completely in presence, as in the previous summer semester. All courses will basically be offered in on-site presence. All Leuphana facilities will be open on a regular basis, and all research projects can be carried out on a regular basis. In the third year of the pandemic, we want to send a clear signal that Leuphana focuses on personal encounters and direct discourse on content in research, teaching, studies and administration, and cultivates the culture of presence on campus for the benefit of science and education. In addition, our efforts to conduct university operations entirely in presence are an expression of the deans' and academic deans' ever-increasing concern about the quality of studies and the assessment that the quality of studies has suffered significantly under the conditions of extensive digital or hybrid teaching in recent semesters. We see it as our responsibility to reverse this development and therefore clearly focus on personal exchange in presence.

The planning of exams for the winter semester 2022/2023 has been completed. The exam dates are posted in myStudy with the corresponding rooms. You can find the current exam schedule here:

Instructions for students on how to conduct classroom exams

For the coming academic year, we are striving as far as possible to hold our courses and examinations in attendance again and to make the best possible use of our campus. In view of the legal framework conditions, the attendance mode in the upcoming winter semester will take place in the so-called "3G mode.

Text unter Corona-Bedingungen

The exam dates and the corresponding rooms / collection points have been entered into myStudy. Due to the distance regulations, many exams have to take place simultaneously in several rooms. In these cases, rooms are allocated immediately before the exam. Depending on the location, rooms are assigned as follows:

  • For examinations for which several examination rooms on campus (Universitätsallee 1) are named, the rooms are assigned in the rear part of the refectory. Please arrive there at least 60 minutesbeforethe start of the examination.
  • For exams with more than one exam room in the Red Field (Wilschenbrucher Weg 84), the rooms in the old dining hall (Room 055a in Wilschenbrucher Weg 84) will be assigned. Please be there at least 45 minutes before the start of the exam.

If only one room is mentioned in MyStudy, this is the examination room to which you can go directly; in this case you do not have to plan for a time buffer for room allocation and visiting the examination location.

Due to the predominantly low 7-day incidences in Germany at present, there is no obligation to be tested before taking part in attendance examinations. However, for the protection of the participants, we ask all those who do not have complete protection due to vaccination or recovery to be tested within 24 hours before the start of the examination. Test centres are available for this purpose in building C12 and in the city area.
