Withdrawal and Termination

If you have registered for a free offer that you do not want to/can no longer attend, we ask you to cancel your place. This way, you enable others to book the free place and help the instructor with the planning.

In case of multiple unexcused absences, we have the right to cancel your place without further notice.

If you have registered for an offer that is subject to a fee and you no longer wish to/can no longer attend, we ask you to clear your place for other persons. According to the fee regulations, a refund can only be made if the offer has been significantly changed by us (date, content, scope, etc.). In all other cases there is no claim for refund.

In order to avoid hardship cases, we offer the following regulations as a gesture of goodwill:

Sports incapacity: Partial reimbursement upon presentation of a medical certificate

• The sports incapacity covers at least 50% of the course (e.g. 6 of 12 dates) or a course start after recovery is not possible due to the course structure.
• If more than half of the course dates could NOT be attended half the amount will be refunded.
• If a maximum of half of the course dates could NOT be attended, no refund will be given.

Change of course

• A change of course is possible before the third course date, as long as there are still places available in the target course.
• If the new course is more expensive, the difference must be paid, if it is cheaper, we unfortunately cannot refund the difference.
• It is not possible to change courses after the third course date.

If you have a contract in our fitness area and do not want it to be renewed automatically, you have to cancel it informally at the latest on the last opening day before the end of the contract.

An extraordinary cancellation at the end of the current contract month is possible if there are significant reasons (e.g. relocation > 50 km, long-term inability to exercise). In this case a handling fee of 20 EUR will be charged.

Please also note our contractually regulated options to pause your contract without giving reasons for a maximum of 2 months per year, or for an unlimited period if there are study-related reasons.

If you have registered for a sports excursion and have to withdraw, the following regulations apply:

• If a substitute person is named for the vacant place, this person is accepted by the Allgemeiner Hochschulsport and the place can thus be filled, a processing fee of 25 EUR will be retained in the event of withdrawal from sports excursions. The same applies if the Allgemeiner Hochschulsport is able to fill all places again despite the withdrawal.
• If the vacant place cannot be filled otherwise, the following amounts will be retained in case of a withdrawal:
  • 25 % of the fee in case of a withdrawal more than one month before the start of the excursion.
  • 50 % of the fee in case of a withdrawal within a period of one month up to one week before the start of the excursion
  • 75 % of the fee in case of cancellation within one week before the start of the excursion
  • 100% of the fee in case of cancellation after the start of the excursion or non-participation.
