Vita

Mayleen Schack is a doctoral candidate and research associate in Cognitive, Social and Economic Psychology at Leuphana University Lüneburg, and part of the Embracing Transformation program. Her current research focuses on science communication: how the way we communicate matters for topics that call for transformation toward a more just and sustainable world. She studies how communicating uncertainty, for example during polycrises, affects engagement with science, trust in science, and sustainable and transformative behavior. More broadly, her research interests lie in information processing, ideological thinking, and motivated reasoning, and how these shape the way people respond to social issues.
