Leuphana Arts Program
The Leuphana Arts Program (LAP) serves to integrate art into the university as a practice, as a form of knowledge and a form of discourse. Art is regarded as a 'machine' for the production of difference and innovation. The LAP seeks to create friction and energy between the different areas of artistic, scientific and social practice.
Art has always been based on media. The digital media have broadened the aesthetics and the context of the arts, as well as radically changing the forms of social communication and production at large. "Digital culture" represents a new cultural paradigm which touches and transforms all of these areas.

Hyperbole TV
Die Zuspitzung gesellschaftspolitischer Inhalte durch eine popkulturelle Erzählweise ist das Markenzeichen von Hyperbole TV. Für unsere erfolgreichen Formate DISSLIKE, FRAG EIN KLISCHEE und THE LINE haben wir mit Hyperbole TV den Grimme Online Award 2015 in der Rubrik „Kunst und Unterhaltung“ erhalten. 2018 kam der Grimme-Preis in der Kategorie “Kinder und Jugend” für das Format GERMANIA hinzu.

Jeden ersten Mittwoch im Monat veröffentlichen wir ein explainity-Erklärvideo zu einem Thema aus den Bereichen Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft oder Politik. Die Themenvorschläge stammen überwiegend von unseren Nutzern. Unsere Erklärvideos haben auch Einzug in den Unterricht an allgemein- und berufsbildende Schulen gefunden und komplettieren das Angebot namhafter Schulverlage. Durch unsere kompakte, einfache und neutrale Erklärweise bieten die explainity-Clips einen Mehrwert für viele Verlage und Redaktionen.

HyperImage
The HyperImage platform supports the linking of (audio)-visual objects, texts and mixed-media documents. HyperImage allows any number of details, or subregions, within an image to be highlighted and described, and for annotations within a corpus to be linked to each other, making them accessible in indices. Interim results as well as final versions can be compiled at any time as an online/offline hypermedia publication. This makes HyperImage a suitable research environment for digital humanities and eScience projects, providing a common research and publication environment for groups as well as individuals.

Hybrid Publishing Consortium
The consortium’s mission is to support software development communities to build free and open source publishing infrastructures. The consortium is a network of businesses, community groups and researchers. The consortium’s activities include; research and research publishing, software development, business development, advocacy, publishing, events and peer-learning. The consortium is open to all areas of publishing. The current priority is interoperability between software platforms in scholarly publishing that are using multi-format and multimedia functionality. The consortium was established by the Hybrid Publishing Lab.

AERA – breaking history
Das historische Online-Magazin "aera" meldete von Juni bis September 2014 tagesaktuell im Internet, was Zeitungen vor hundert Jahren schrieben.
"Wien, 1. Juli. Heute Abend zog eine Gruppe von 300 Studenten, denen sich etwa 300 junge Leute, darunter Gehilfen aus den Vorstädten anschlossen, gegen die Paulanergasse und machten den Versuch, vor der serbischen Gesandtschaft zu demonstrieren." So zu lesen in deutschen Zeitungen im Jahr 1914 – und genau hundert Jahre später auf www.aera-magazin.de. Täglich erschienen auch ausgewählte Beiträge auf taz.de.
Das interdisziplinäre Team machte die digitalen Archive für eine breite Öffentlichkeit zugänglich und attraktiv. Sein Anliegen war es, mit Neuen Medien ein Gefühl für die gesellschaftlichen, politischen und kulturellen Stimmungen der Zeit vor Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkrieges zu vermitteln. So zeigte "aera" eine Generation, die voller Elan und mit modernen Ideen in ein neues Jahrhundert aufgebrochen ist – und dann in den Krieg zog.
