Städel Online Course

Städel Museum has developed a comprehensive and free online course in cooperation with Leuphana University of Lüneburg, the Institute of Philosophy and Sciences of Art and the Centre for Digital Cultures. The online course offers a complex learning environment for guided self-study. On the basis of approximately 250 selected works of the Städel Museum, the course program brings together the mediation of art and the theory of image studies in the form of films, texts, an extensive time line, as well as interactively arranged tasks, with which the course participants can put their acquired knowledge to the test. With the course an innovative learning environment was created, which is intended to set new accents in the field of art education on the Internet.
