Vita

Danna Oomen received her MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2018 at Leiden University. During her masters, she completed her thesis and research internship under supervision of Prof. Elaine Fox at the University of Oxford. Her clinical internship was completed at the specialized outpatient clinic for anxiety disorders at PsyQ, the Hague. In 2023, she received her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Roeljan Wiersema and Prof. Marcel Brass at Ghent University. Her research focus is on social perception, including the perception of biological motion, social interaction and mimicry, as well as the similarities and differences in perception between individuals with and without autism. To study this she mainly uses behavioral methods and EEG (frequency tagging, ERP).
