Vita

Götz H. Römer is a research associate at the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics, and Social Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the University of Basel.

While studying, he gained practical experience in auditing and consulting. After graduating, he worked as an analyst at a strategy consulting firm in Basel.

As part of the TrICo project (Transformation through Innovation and Cooperation in Communities), Götz Römer is involved in establishing the “Sustainable Production” community. This community promotes research-based knowledge transfer and innovative collaboration formats with companies to drive the carbon-neutral transformation of strategies, production processes, and technologies. In this role, he focuses on strategic corporate sustainability management.

His research centers on strategic management and the study of technological innovation processes from the perspective of business models, particularly with regard to developing sustainable business cases.
