The Goal

The “Sustainable Production” community aims to support manufacturing companies in their sustainable transformation. We strive for a world in which products and production processes are CO₂-neutral, resource-efficient and economically viable. Together, companies, researchers and experts in materials science, production technology and sustainability management are developing practical methods and solutions to implement sustainable production processes and drive forward circular economic models.

The Challenge

Manufacturing companies are currently under great pressure to make their processes environmentally friendly and climate-neutral in order to meet social expectations and legal requirements. They are often struggling with complex questions about how to reduce resource consumption and develop products more sustainably without jeopardizing economic stability. These challenges threaten innovative strength and competitiveness, but at the same time offer great opportunities for sustainable innovation.

Our Path: Innovate Together

Our community creates interdisciplinary and practice-oriented innovation spaces in which companies develop concrete solutions together with scientists and students. Formats such as “Industry meets Science & Students”, creative hack days and practice-oriented labs enable new perspectives and action-oriented results. Participants benefit from access to the latest research findings, practical methods and the opportunity to actively participate in the development of innovative business models.
