Moving Image Lab

Development and examination of moving image formats

The world of media is undergoing major changes. The Internet is blurring the boundaries between production and reception of moving images. The “traditional” television seems to be losing importance.

The Moving Image Lab (MIL) analyzed the changes underway in participation and organizational processes that are associated with interactive communication platforms of the new media and of new forms of moving image production. Based on these research results moving image formats were developed in the field of civil society as well as in the field of trade and commerce, presented in fictional, semi-fictional, docutainment and merely documentary formats.

The Moving Image Lab focuses on innovative Internet-based moving image formats and is the very core of the “Digital Media” competence center of the Innovation Incubator.
