Lower Saxony has a comprehensive structure for promoting innovation and business. Universities, technology centres, business development institutions and research institutions are important partners in the Lower Saxony Innovation Network and support companies in particular in realising innovations, cooperating with research institutions and turning innovative business ideas into commercial success.
Leuphana University of Lüneburg is a member of the Lower Saxony Innovation Network and thus supports the transfer of knowledge and technology in Lower Saxony.
The members of the Lower Saxony Innovation Network belong to the following sponsor groups:
- Universities (universities, universities of applied sciences)
- Chambers (Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Chambers of Crafts, Lower Saxony Chamber of Engineers)
- Economic development organisations of the districts and cities
- Research institutions outside the universities
- Technology and start-up centres
- Transfer institutions (e.g. state initiatives, competence centres, research networks)
- Other transfer players (e.g. associations, ministries)
