Strong Partnerships Lead to New Ideas

By means of their inter- and transdisciplinary, as well as long-term, impact-oriented approach, the Innovation Communities promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge between science and praxis. Our goal is to enhance innovation in the region of Lower Saxony and the Hamburg metropolitan area. This allows us to create new perspectives and actively contribute to the transformation of society.

Within the four Leuphana Innovation Communities we focus on collaboration in the following fields:

A National Pioneer in Community Building

The Leuphana Innovation Communities are a central component of the pilot project “TrICo – Transformation through Innovation and Cooperation in Communities,“ funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. With this initiative, Leuphana has developed a nationwide pioneering model for inter- and transdisciplinary community building and open innovation. The aim is to effectively strengthen regional innovation power through strategic collaboration between universities and practical partners.

Transfer of Knowledge on Video and Audio

To support the four communities, the Leuphana Media Studio develops hybrid event and media formats, enhancing science communication and making new ideas accessible to a wider audience. Additionally, the integrated Community & Impact Management ensures effective learning and exchange within the communities and strengthens their external communication.
