Democracy and Diversity

How can democracy and diversity be promoted as core values in schools and society? In times, when polarization, discrimination and social tensions are on the rise, the Leuphana Innovation Community School Improvement and Leadership aims to open up spaces in which different stakeholders can engage in dialogue, learn from each other and develop innovative solutions for everyday life.

We offer a wide range of event formats for this purpose: Democracy workshops for pupils, a World Café for democracy education among teachers or Lego Serious Play workshops for school administrators - the community creates space in a variety of formats to shape a democratic educational culture together. This is an opportunity to share experiences, gain new perspectives and try out concrete strategies - for a democratic and diverse educational culture in the Hamburg metropolitan region, Lower Saxony and beyond.
