Spaces of Art Organization sees itself as part of the community in the city of Lüneburg and works together with local partners DÜNE, mosaique, Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, and Kunstverein Lüneburg.

The partner organizations serve as real-life laboratories for experimenting with new organizational and programmatic approaches, modes of access, and forms of art education. Leuphana conducts research into the organizational practices of these art and cultural spaces, focusing on their challenges, everyday concerns, and strategies. Important aspects here include questions of diversity and participation.
