The finale of the industrial colloquium "Energy Management Along the Value Chain": a tour of Leuphana's machine hall.

Prof. Dr. Noomane Ben Khalifa kicked off the day by uniting participants under the shared vision of the Leuphana Innovation Community for Sustainable Production: “In our community, we strive for a common understanding of what drives industry. How can we structure production, supply chains, and logistics to make them more energy-efficient and sustainable overall?”

After each presentation, attendees from industry and academia seized the opportunity to ask questions, visibly enthusiastic about taking home new knowledge. One presentation in particular, on the automated creation of Life-Cycle Assessments, sparked lively discussions and intense exchanges.

Following the diverse presentations, the late afternoon featured a visit to Leuphana’s machine hall. Here, participants explored equipment such as extrusion presses, wire drawing machines, and laser deposition welding systems. Over refreshments and snacks, they strengthened existing connections and forged new ones.
