Christian Scheiding has been affiliated with the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) since May 2023, contributing to the project "Universities in Society - Real-world experiments of transformative learning and research processes for a culture of sustainability in universities (KuNaH)". Since 2020, he has been pursuing his doctorate on the subject of "Sustainability Positioning in Organizations". Previously, he was a research project associate in the "Green Skills for Vocational Education and Training (GreenSkills4VET)" project, where he explored approaches to a Europe-wide harmonized impartation of sustainability skills in vocational education. Christian Scheiding studied the Master's program "Sustainable Economics and Management" at the University of Kassel from 2014 to 2017, which he completed with a Master of Science degree.

In his research, Christian Scheiding devotes himself to understanding and changing sustainability-related behavior of individuals and organizations from both an organizational and behavioral science perspective. For this purpose, he uses different methodological approaches with a focus on qualitative, reconstructive research designs.
