Ombudsperson Service for Science

The ombudsperson service at Leuphana University Lüneburg offers an independent and confidential point of contact for conflicts, misconduct, or uncertainties. It promotes transparency, fairness, and trust by providing low-threshold advice and constructive solutions.
Below you will find the institutions that support researchers in matters of good scientific practice.

Leuphana has appointed independent mediators (ombudspersons) from the status group of professors and the status group of academic staff. They work on a voluntary and independent basis, and they advise researchers. Members of the university can contact any ombudsperson if they suspect possible violations of ethical principles or scientific misconduct.
