Leuphana tops in entrepreneurship framework conditions

2023-09-29 Lüneburg/Braunschweig. Prof. Dr. Reza Asghari, head of the "Entrepreneurship Hub" at Ostfalia University and TU Braunschweig, has presented a comparative study on which universities in Lower Saxony create the best conditions for start-ups. According to the study, Leuphana University Lüneburg occupies the top positions in several fields.

The "Lower Saxony University Entrepreneurship Monitoring 2022" included 15 of Lower Saxony's 28 universities and around 173,000 of the state's 208,000 students. The aim of the project was to record entrepreneurship developments in Lower Saxony using a scientifically based monitoring system.

The results report shows that the conditions for start-up founders are particularly good at Leuphana in a state comparison. It says: "Leuphana University is consistently convincing in its entrepreneurship framework. In the categories of Entrepreneurship Teaching, Entrepreneurship Governance and Operational Entrepreneurship Support, first (5x) and second (2x) places are achieved exclusively. In the area of Research-Based Entrepreneurship, a good second (Research-Based Start-Up Projects) and third (Entrepreneurship Scouting) place is achieved."

The results report was written as part of the research project "Niedersachsen Entrepreneurship Monitoring". This is commissioned by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and is aimed equally at politicians, universities and the business community and start-ups in Lower Saxony.
