At Leuphana College, you will acquire interdisciplinary skills in addition to specialist knowledge through the interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree in engineering sciences (industry).

After completing your engineering studies, you will be able to independently develop and convincingly present solution strategies in a national and international working environment.

Business Organization, Planning & Consulting

  • Industrial Engineer: Planning, checking and improving operational processes with regard to technical efficiency and the greatest possible profitability in the various functional areas of companies
  • Production Engineer: Monitoring and optimizing the technical equipment, ensuring its functionality and aiming to increase e.g. manufacturing quality, productivity and profitability
  • Business Planner: Support and advise companies in organizational, business management or technical questions, develop optimization concepts and participate in their implementation
  • REFA Engineer: Ensure the economic efficiency of industrial work processes through appropriate organization and control. Usually they design and supervise larger rationalization and restructuring projects in companies.
  • Project Engineer: Plan, organize and monitor the execution of technical projects and, if necessary, take over project management during the implementation phase
  • (Technical) Management Consultants: As external service providers, they analyze the processes and structures in companies, e.g. to increase profitability or to secure and expand the economic success of the company.

Material Management, Merchandise Management, Logistics

  • Technical Purchaser: Planning and organizing the procurement of technical products of all kinds, such as machines and equipment, construction or spare parts or raw materials and supplies
  • Logistician: Coordinating the flow of goods and information with the aim of saving time and costs
  • Supply Chain Managers: Are located at the interface between logistics and IT and are responsible for the successful interaction of all participants in the supply chain

Manufacturing/ Production

  • Engineer - Automation Technology: Developing and supporting systems that automatically control and regulate technical processes
  • Work Planning Engineer: Planning, calculating and optimizing production processes in companies
  • Production Engineer: Planning, managing, optimizing and monitoring production processes

Maintenance, Customer Service & Technical Sales

Procurement/ Materials Management/ Logistics

Employees in the purchasing / procurement department carry out the procurement of goods and services, optimize and handle purchasing processes, determine the company's needs, analyze the procurement market, obtain and compare offers.
In materials management / logistics, the flow of goods between different company departments is controlled and monitored, existing procedures and processes are analyzed and optimized.

  • Buyer: Procurement of goods or services for a company that are then used, processed or resold
  • Technical Buyer: Planning and organization of the procurement of technical products of all kinds
  • Logistician: Coordinating the flow of goods and information with the aim of saving time and costs
  • Business Economist (Logistics): Planning and control of flows of goods and information to supply companies with raw materials and supplies, information, services, energy and personnel
  • Supply-Chain-Manager: Located at the interface between logistics and IT and responsible for the successful interaction of all participants in the supply chain

Environmental Protection/ Environmental Technology

Engineer of environmental protection/environmental engineering: Planning, development and monitoring of technical processes and measures to protect the environment and people from pollutants, noise and other negative influences
