Supplier Quality Engineer

What is the Day Job:

• Participate in supplier qualification activities, including evaluating supplier capabilities and assessing their adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct thorough supplier audits, document findings, and track open items until resolution.
• Define and establish routine controls, including incoming inspection processes, to ensure purchased products meet QualiMed specifications.
• Guide the incoming inspection team in handling supplier claims and provide support in resolving issues using methodologies such as 8D problem-solving.
• Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers to identify process improvement opportunities, and drive value enhancement initiatives.
• Summarize feedback from supplier issues and effectively communicate internally with development, process engineering, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Conduct periodic supplier evaluations to monitor performance and ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of half year in years a manufacturing environment for Medical Device or Pharma industry.
• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification processes, supplier audits, and quality control methodologies.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 13485 & ISO 14971) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• English language fluent, German is preferred.
