Prof. Dr. Marcus Pietsch is DFG Heisenberg Professor of Educational Science, in particular Educational Management and Quality Development at the Institute of Educational Sciences at Leuphana University. He is currently research dean of the School of Education. His research interests are particularly in the area of education, school effectiveness, development, and innovation, and effective leadership in schools in teaching and learning.
