Vita

Ninja Müller has been working at the Institute of Educational Sciences on the TrICo project since 2024 and previously worked at the Centre for Sustainability Management as part of the MBA Sustainability Management team since 2021.

She is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Vechta, focusing on decolonization and deanthropocentralization of marine education. She holds master's degrees in Education for Sustainable Development from the University of Gothenburg and in Marine Biological Resources with a focus on Ecology and Conservation from the international joint master's program IMBRSea. She earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Leuphana University Lüneburg.

Research Interests

Ninja Mueller researches the deanthropocentralisation of academic marine education, and investigates perspectives and interests beyond the human. A focus lies on the intersection of speciesism and terrestrialism as disadvantaging factors for marine conservation and education for sustainable marine development. Furthermore, Ninja's research interests encompass experiential education, gender diversity studies, and the use of immersive media tools for education.
