Main areas of work

Criminal law and compliance. Focus of legal work in criminal law, criminal procedure law and commercial criminal law, in particular social economy criminal law. Advising and representing social economy providers and service providers in criminal law issues and compliance in the context of social work. Advising and representing child and youth welfare organisations and institutions in conflicts with criminal law.
 

Vita

Studied law in Tübingen. Doctorate on a criminal law topic at the University of Bielefeld. Judge at Bielefeld Regional Court and presiding judge at Lüneburg Regional Court. From 1984 to 2011, teaching activities and professorships at the University of Applied Sciences North-East Lower Saxony, the University of Hamburg and Leuphana University Lüneburg. Currently lecturer for criminal law, criminal procedure law and commercial criminal law at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. With BERNZEN SONNTAG since 2012. Partner at BERNZEN Rechtsanwälte since 2022.
