Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law, and Legal Theory

Professor Dr. Stefan Klingbeil, LL.M. (Yale), and his team explore civil law and civil procedure from a foundational, interdisciplinary, and comparative international perspective. Their research places particular emphasis on the fundamental concepts of private law as well as on the doctrinal interrelation between substantive and procedural law. Another key area of research focuses on questions of legal ontology, legal imagination, and legal visualization.
