Klara Westerlage studied law at the University of Osnabrück, Germany and the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy, completing her studies in 2023. During her studies, she specialised in public law and the law of digitalisation. Since October 2023, Klara Westerlage joined the Joachim Herz Doctoral Programme for Law and Transformation as a fellow. In addition, she works as a research assistant at the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law, International Public Law and Comparative Law (Prof. Dr. Till Patrik Holterhus, MLE., LL.M. (Yale)) at Leuphana University.

Research Focus

Her research interests include public law, in particular constitutional law and the law of digitalisation. In her dissertation project (under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Till Patrik Holterhus, MLE., LL.M. (Yale)), Klara Westerlage focuses on state communication on social media.
