As part of the module “Teaching English as a Foreign Language II" this seminar will focus on theory enabling you to find suitable texts as well as adapting them for a specific target group. We will look at different types of texts (e.g. textbook excerpts, short literary texts, picture books) and you will learn about reading comprehension, text reception as well as approaches to evaluating, adapting and designing tasks. Another focus of the seminar will be on the use of digital media as tools to create, modify and share multimodal texts and tasks for the EFL classroom.
