About Us

The project Destination Abroad has been set up by the Institute of English Studies (IES) to support you in organising your stay abroad. Specifically we are here to:

  • create interesting and rewarding internship and work placement opportunities in English-speaking countries that our students can apply for on a regular basis
  • maintain a database of placement opportunities for students to access
  • inform students about rules and regulations of the stay abroad
  • approve the stay abroad before and recognise it after completion
  • support language development during the stay abroad with optional language learning materials

On the following pages you can find information on the Destination Abroad project, resources to help you in finding international work placements and internships, country overviews and interviews with students who have already completed their stay abroad. So please have a look around and feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.

You can find a short overview of all relevant information in the Destination Abroad Flyer here.
