Board of Directors
ISDL is headed by a Board of Directors, consisting of its three founding members. Together they provide substantive expertise on learning processes in the context of sustainable development and transdisciplinary cooperation and contribute to achieving the goals of the ISDL by bringing their specific expertise to the individual projects.
Prof. Dr. Daniel J. Lang
Daniel is professor for transdisciplinary sustainability research. His research interests include the development of the theoretical, methodological as well as procedural foundations of sustainability science and the cooperation and mutual learning between different scientific disciplines and between science and society.
Prof. Dr. Matthias Barth
Matthias is professor for Education for sustainable development. His strong passion is on research and teaching for sustainability with an emphasis on competence development, innovative learning settings and curriculum change.
Prof. Dr. Gerd Michelsen
Gerd is senior professor for sustainability science. Since 2005 UNESCO-Chair „Higher Education for Sustainable Development “.
