The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda seek to provide us with a roadmap to guide our near future. The United Nations Assembly of the United Nations, together with civil society, has consensually established these goals covering human rights, environmental care, development and the culture of peace. We find ourselves at an urgent moment in history where the vulnerability of humanity and the planet is unequivocal. No one is safe in this interdependent world and, in turn, each person can make a difference in making a better world.

How can we rethink the 2030 Agenda to be part of this process and at the same time take a critical and transformative stance?
How can we ensure that these diverse goals can be harmonized and achieved?
How can these diverse goals be harmonized and fulfilled? How can we preserve cultural and social identity, combining a universal human rights perspective with a local community perspective and that includes, in particular, indigenous peoples and other vulnerable groups?

In order to address this issue, metaphors about the 17 SDGs are used, which and handicrafts, which are part of the so-called intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. From this perspective, it is proposed to understand dialogically the challenges of the 2030 Agenda.

This activity is part of the Seminar "Memory, Truth and Justice": Rethinking Transitional Justice from a Latin American Perspective (FSL)
