The institute consists of two departments: philosophy and art history and is involved in the DFG Research Training Group "Cultures of Critique. Forms, Media, Effects", the Leuphana Institute of Advanced Studies (LIAS) for Culture and Society and the Center for Critical Studies (CCS). The members of the Institute regularly organise or participate in various event formats such as conferences, lectures, workshops and exhibitions.
