Psychology in research and teaching

The subject of psychology at Leuphana researches and teaches from a basic research-oriented perspective in a wide range of application areas, particularly with regard to business, management, education and sustainability. Consequently, the subject of psychology at Leuphana is located in the Schools of Management and Technology, Education and Sustainability with complementary profiles in research and teaching. Psychological research with a particular social focus is realised across school and disciplinary boundaries and the role of psychology as a hub science becomes clear. In accordance with the guiding principle of Open Science, psychology pursues transparent and sustainable research - for example, through pre-registration of studies, replication trials and making data and experimental materials publicly available.

The focus can be placed in the specialist group "Work, Organisational & Business Psychology" (AOW) of the German Society for Psychology (DGPs), the corresponding application subject of AOW psychology and the basic subjects of social psychology and general psychology.
