Study programs: Properly managing supply chains and decarbonization
2026-03-05 Lüneburg. In April 2026, Leuphana University of Lüneburg will launch two part-time certificate programs: Sustainable Supply Chain Management and Decarbonization Management. The target audience is specialists and managers who want to improve competitiveness and corporate development with a sustainability strategy. Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2026.
The six-month online programs teach scientific fundamentals and practical management tools. The skills acquired can be immediately applied in everyday work. In the Sustainable Supply Chain Management program, participants learn to systematically identify risks and opportunities and establish resilient supply chains through long-term partnerships. The Decarbonization Management program qualifies participants to measurably reduce emissions, not just offset them. It covers topics such as IT-supported greenhouse gas accounting, carbon footprint analysis, and holistic climate strategies.
“The programs qualify participants to embed sustainability deeply in the core business of companies—as a driving force for innovation, efficiency, and value creation. They also strengthen the resilience of organizations and create new market potential,” explains program director Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Schaltegger.
A combination of online meetings and self-study phases enables intensive continuing education without having to interrupt professional activities. An online information evening on March 11 offers the opportunity to learn more about the programs.
The programs are implemented by Leuphana's Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM), an internationally recognized center of excellence with more than 20 years of experience in management continuing education.
