The academic world has specific risk factors and vulnerabilities in this regard. The lecture takes up this issue and asks the central question that has rarely been asked before: How widespread is gender-based violence in the university context? The importance of a robust, multi-methodological evidence base will be discussed in order to highlight the problem, classify it, and develop effective measures.
The event will be held in German. If required, live translation of the presentation will be available via automated subtitles. The use of this function will be briefly explained before the presentation.
The lecture will focus on the UniSAFE research project (2021-2024), which collected data on gender-based violence (GBV) in universities and research institutions. The project aims to create a knowledge base for the development of effective intervention and prevention measures at academic institutions.
Participation is free of charge.
