Nationwide Environment and Transport Congress at Leuphana

2023-03-06 Lüneburg. From 31 March to 2 April 2023, the 24th Nationwide Environment and Transport Congress (BUVKO) will take place at Leuphana University Lüneburg. The event deals with the topic of sustainable mobility and offers opportunities for exchange, further education and networking. The organisers expect about 350 participants.

The transport and mobility turnaround is occupying the minds of politicians and the media. An implementation-oriented transport policy is needed to achieve environmental and climate policy goals and to make cities more liveable. Promising concepts and approaches to solutions are available, and good ideas and suggestions for solving transport problems in cities and in rural areas are also coming from civil society.

The BUVKO programme is multifaceted. In panel discussions, around 20 working groups and nine excursions, central issues such as accessibility, children's mobility or conflicts between different modes of transport will be discussed. The complete programme is available at www.buvko.de.

Registration for the BUVKO is possible until 20 March.

The congress is organised by the Arbeitskreis Verkehr und Umwelt UMKEHR e.V. and the Fachverband Fußverkehr Deutschland FUSS e.V. Host and co-organiser is Leuphana University Lüneburg. The project is funded by the Federal Environment Agency and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
