Become a tutor at the AI Literacy Helpdesk – Winter Semester 2026/27

2026-06-17

For the coming winter semester, we are looking for tutors (teaching assistants) for our Helpdesk in the AI Literacy module (formerly DATAx) – an open drop-in session on campus where first-year students can pop in without booking an appointment if they need support with the AI Literacy module.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from all academic disciplines. We want to attract role models from as many disciplines as possible for our first-year students.

You don’t need to be a professional. What you learnt yourself in your first semester is more than enough. What matters more is patience, a willingness to help, and a desire to help others get over the first hurdle. And if you ever get stuck yourself: we work as a team and help each other out.

What you’ll be doing: You’ll be manage the helpdesk in a relaxed atmosphere, answering questions about the exercise content, helping with debugging, and providing guidance for students who are programming or working with AI tools for the first time – simply genuine support on an equal footing.

What’s in it for you: Practical experience in teaching and knowledge transfer, a deeper understanding of AI and programming, and insight into an ongoing teaching and research project.
