Vita

Peter Niemeyer is a full professor of information systems at Leuphana University Lüneburg Germany since 2003. He serves as the vice dean of the faculty of business administration and is member of the Academic Senate.

Prof. Niemeyer received a master degree in mathematics and a Ph.D. degree from Technical University Berlin. Before joining the Leuphana University, Peter Niemeyer hold for 8 years a position as system analyst at the enterprise software company SAP, where he was involved in the development of the SAP ERP.

Futhermore he is coordnator of the master program Management & Data Science.

Research Interests

The research interests of Peter Niemeyer include all aspects of integrating business information systems. A special focus lies on the integration of environmental performance indicators into traditional enterprise resource planning modules. In recent years his research is increasingly based on methods from network analysis.

He is a co-founder of the institute for electronic business processes (IEG) at Leuphana University, published more than 30 scientific papers and 3 books, required project funding of more than 1 Mio. EUR. and is regularly member of the program board of several conferences.
