Residencies

In the pilot phase of the Leuphana Arts Program, 2012/2013, three artists and artist groups are here as artists in residence. These artists were selected by the LAP team. In 2013, an Advisory Board will be created that will decide on future artists in residence. The residency program supports artistic research and the development of artistic projects, especially while they are in their research phase. It enables a lively interdisciplinary dialogue with scientists and researchers of the University.

International artists will be invited to the LAP as resident artists, usually for one year. As a preparation, they will provide a project concept which allows for efficiently connecting them to the most fitting university researchers. As resident artists they spend several research stays at Leuphana University, in whose context they do an introductory and a closing presentation, as well as conduct interdisciplinary dialogues. Suggestions will be made for longer stays.
