Study environmental and energy law part-time

2022-04-07 Lüneburg. In order to counter the climate crisis and consistently drive forward the energy transition, sustainable energy and resource protection law is of central importance. Against this background, Leuphana University Lüneburg offers the part-time Master's programme Sustainability Law - Energy, Resources, Environment (LL.M.) as well as the certificates Environmental Law and Law of the Energy Transition. Legal expertise is taught on topics such as climate change, environmental protection and nature conservation, coal phase-out, tenant electricity, biofuels and grid regulation. In October 2022, the successful study programme and the two shorter certificate programmes will start their next rounds. Digital information and taster opportunities are available in advance for those interested.

The three-semester study programme teaches not only classical environmental law but also forward-looking energy and resource protection law. The programme combines legal competences in an interdisciplinary approach with practice-relevant disciplines such as environmental and natural sciences, economics and technology. The degree programme takes into account the special needs of working students by combining face-to-face events on weekends with flexible e-learning offerings.

The study programme is primarily aimed at professionals with a background in law, but is also suitable for academics from the fields of business administration or economics, engineering or other related courses of study. Applications are still possible until 15 August. Individual modules can be studied at any time regardless of this date. Starting in October, it will be possible to enter the two certificate programmes Law of the Energy Transition and Environmental Law.

Those interested can get to know the degree programme better on 1 and 2 July at the Professional School's digital info day. After making an appointment, there is also the possibility to have a look at individual courses of the LL.M. without obligation or to take selected modules in advance.
