Emerging Tech Lab: We’re looking for your input!

2025-10-16

Technological developments such as artificial intelligence, extended reality or robotics are fundamentally changing the conditions for teaching and learning in higher education. The joint project Emerging Tech Lab, in which Leuphana University is involved via its Teaching Service, responds to this transformation. Together with TU Braunschweig, Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, the University of Hildesheim, the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI), and the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, the project opens up new perspectives for future-oriented higher education.

The project aims to systematically monitor emerging technologies, analyse their educational potential, and provide universities with concrete options for action. In addition to building a curated material platform, the lab develops practice-oriented scenarios, organises workshops and discursive formats, and works closely with lecturers, students and decision-makers.

The Emerging Tech Lab is currently seeking dialogue with academic staff who:

  • already use or address emerging technologies in their teaching,
  • are interested in understanding new technologies and reflecting on their didactic potential,
  • would like to take part in workshops, pilot formats or structured discussions,
  • wish to contribute their own ideas, questions or teaching concepts to the project.

The goal is to make experiences visible, connect different perspectives and jointly set impulses for innovative and responsible teaching.

Interested in contributing or sharing your ideas? We look forward to hearing from you at: anna.wolf@leuphana.de
