Das Modul bietet eine Einführung in die Grundlagen und ingenieurtechnischen Anwendungen der Mechanik. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf den Grundlagen der Statik (zentrale und nichtzentrale Kraftsysteme, Moment einer Kraft, Schnittgrößen, Gleichgewichtsbedingungen, Fachwerke, Haftung/ Reibung, Stäbe und Stabsysteme). Darüber hinaus werden Themen der Elastostatik (Spannungszustand, Verzerrungszustand, Elastizitätsgesetz, Zug und Druck bei Stäben, Biegung und Torsion von Balken) behandelt.
